Hello and thank you for visiting our website. Whether you are a member of the Boys' Brigade or just browsing,
we hope you find this information useful.
If you are a member here then you will already know what we
do and this website is a way for you to keep up to date with what events are coming up for you and how you have performed
in competitions in your respective groups.
However, if you are new to The Boys' Brigade or just to Lee Mount, I will tell you a little bit about what we do here.
The Boys' Brigade is a religious organisation and the company is divided into four age groups: Anchor Boys (school year
1-3), Juniors (school year 4-6), Company Section (school year 7-9) and Seniors (school year 10-13). All four sections
work towards an achievement scheme and so everyone has something to aim for. This includes physical work, spiritual work,
things to do with the community, as well as other interests the boys may have. However, we do appreciate the boys do not wish
this to be just like school and so build in other things to the programme such as games time, both in an individual sense
through quizzes and wordsearches, and in a team building sense through team games such as football and hockey.
In addition to this, the boys in all age groups have the opportunity to take part in competitions and other activities
with boys from the other companies within Halifax. Anchor boys tend to be based around craft and team games, whilst as the
boys grow older, we encourage them to take part in a variety of competitions pitched at the age the boys are.
Throughout all this we encourage the boys to have fun and to enjoy themselves at Boys' Brigade forming friendships along
the way.
Please look around our website and see for yourself what we get up to and do not hesitate to contact me with the information
on the "contact us" page if you think your boy may be interested.
